HSP PREVAILS TO REDUCE JUDGMENT AGAINST SHIPOWNER

The firm (specifically the team of David Horr, Raul Delgado and Juan Carlos Perez) substantially reduced the shipowner’s judgment for damages payable to an injured seaman. They successfully persuaded the Judge to limit damages on the medical bills to the amount the health care insurer actually paid. The Plaintiff wanted to recover amounts neither she nor her insurance company had paid. The successful motion reduced the damages from $99,458.16 to $18,362.01.
